Turntable101is a comprehensive overview and introduction to the world of DJing. With emphases on developing a working knowledge of a basic DJ setup: 2 Turntables, stylus and cartridge adjustment,Mixer, Headphones, and Monitors. The workshop will have a simple 5 step program which includes the connection of the DJ equipment, identifying the feature of each component, cartridge and tone arm calibrations, basic cueing, beat mixing, scratching and a lot of tricks with emphases on DJ Culture and Music History.
Turntable Advancedis an intermediate class that focuses on beat mixing and scratching, beat counting, music theory and composition. Students and instructor will concentrate on style, personal development and even more tricks. Practicality vs. Personal Artistic expression with emphases on DJ Culture and Music History.
Turntable Prois for advanced students. For those that have mastered the demands of Turntable 101 and Turntable Advanced and have demonstrated the principles of basic DJing skills. Turntable Pro instruction is an intense focus on beat matching,scratching, music theory, composition, personal style and development and a lot more tricks. Insight for reading an audience and understanding a dance floor or lounge environment. Recording your Mixtape and demo. Getting your first DJ gig. Turntable Pro is ideal for seasoned DJ’s that need a refresher course with emphases on DJ Culture and Music History.
CD LESSONS
